Meeting to Create Facilities for Housing Construction Held Under Leadership of Prime Minister's Administrative Deputy
A meeting to create facilities for housing construction was held under the leadership of Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister's Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Kabul Municipality, and the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs.
Participants focused on identifying ways to facilitate the issuance of construction permits. They also sought to address the allocation of land for residential houses in both planned and unplanned areas while removing existing obstacles.
There was strong emphasis on the need for practical steps that would enable citizens and particularly returning migrant refugees to construct their homes quickly and in an organized fashion. This is expected to help in providing better housing services.
Improving coordination among institutions and ensuring proper follow-up on the outcomes of the meeting were also highlighted as important elements for success.
The presidential palace, known as the Arg, issued a press release about the meeting. It stressed the significance of implementing the discussed measures to promote effective housing construction and to create job opportunities.
The release described the provision of suitable land for housing as a fundamental need that has the potential to substantially improve living conditions.
