
Ministry Distributes Over 1,200 Residential Plots to Returnees in Nangarhar
The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has distributed 1,237 residential land plots to returning migrants in Nangarhar province. The allocation was completed over a three-day period, according to ministry officials.
Minister Mawlawi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani attended the distribution event and addressed those present. He reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to providing permanent housing and essential services for returnees. The minister stated that the allocation of residential land is intended to support the long-term settlement of families who have recently returned to the country.
With this latest distribution, the cumulative total of residential land plots provided to returning migrants in Nangarhar has reached 2,605. The ministry indicated that the plots are designated to offer stable housing solutions and facilitate community integration. Officials emphasized that the process was carried out in coordination with provincial authorities to ensure compliance with national housing guidelines.
The distribution marks a continued effort by the government to address the housing needs of returnees. Authorities noted that securing residential land is a critical step in enabling families to rebuild their lives and access necessary infrastructure. The ministry plans to maintain oversight of the settlement process to ensure that allocated plots are properly utilized and that essential services are extended to the new residential areas.
