
Ministry of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Hajj and Endowments Expands Religious Programs for Ramadan
The Ministry of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Hajj and Endowments has assigned 3,400 excellent Quran reciters across 22 districts of Kabul and 34 provinces to perform the completion of the Holy Quran during Taraweeh prayers to mark the blessed month of Ramadan.
The ministry has printed and distributed suhoor and iftar timetables, based on religious information and astronomical calculations, for Kabul districts and all provinces.
Special sermons on the virtues and rulings of Ramadan have been organized through mosque pulpits during Friday prayers.
In the months of Sha'ban and Ramadan, the ministry has held courses on the translation and interpretation of the Holy Quran, led by religious scholars and sheikhs, at 411 major military centers nationwide. These programs are broadcast live on Radio Television Afghanistan in Pashto and Dari to allow all citizens to benefit from the Quran's meanings, guidance and rulings.
To evaluate and supervise these courses, the ministry has dispatched special scientific and oversight committees to all 411 centers.
As the Hajj season approaches, the ministry is continuing related preparations swiftly and orderly during Ramadan, reaffirming its commitment to promoting Islamic values, expanding religious awareness and enhancing religious services in society.
The ministry urges all citizens to increase recitation, reflection and contemplation of the Holy Quran during Ramadan and calls on wealthy individuals to assist the poor, widows, orphans and other needy people.
