
Ministry of Public Health Reports Over 8,000 Surgeries at Ibn Sina Hospital in Past Year
The Ministry of Public Health has released annual performance data for Ibn Sina Hospital, reporting that medical staff conducted 8,430 successful surgical procedures over the past year. According to ministry figures, the total surgical caseload included 3,946 major operations and 4,484 minor procedures.
In addition to surgical services, the facility provided comprehensive care to a high volume of patients throughout the reporting period. Official records indicate that 9,798 individuals received inpatient treatment, while outpatient clinics served 137,610 patients. The ministry stated that the hospital’s medical teams maintained standard operational capacity across all departments, ensuring continued access to specialized healthcare services in the capital.
The announcement also referenced recent medical achievements at other state-run facilities. Ministry officials noted that hundreds of successful operations were previously carried out at the Mohammad Akbar Khan Specialized Hospital, highlighting ongoing efforts to sustain clinical services across public health institutions.
The published figures reflect the hospital’s established role as a primary referral center for complex medical cases. Health authorities have emphasized that routine monitoring and resource management remain priorities to maintain service delivery standards.
