Modi Says India Emerging as Global Innovation Hub at France Event

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India is emerging as a global hub for innovation and technology solutions. He said the country is moving from being a consumer of technology to a contributor of solutions on the global stage. Modi made these remarks at the inauguration of the Bharat Innovates event in Nice, France.

French President Emmanuel Macron was present with Modi during the event. The Indian leader emphasized that innovation should be measured by its human impact rather than by commercial valuation. He noted that innovation and inclusion are not enemies but complement each other.

Modi highlighted the innovation ecosystem in India driven by youth entrepreneurs. He pointed to a focus on sustainability in the development of new technologies. The prime minister also referenced government measures taken over the past twelve years to promote innovation.

These measures include simplified processes for patent filing and the establishment of Atal Tinkering Labs. Modi mentioned India's historical contributions to the field of innovation as well.

India has emerged as one of the world's largest startup ecosystems. The country has seen growth in sectors including fintech, artificial intelligence, clean energy, and digital payments.
