A mosque has been inaugurated in the Ab Band district of Ghazni province after being built at a cost of 31 million Afghanis. The project was supported financially by the Ministry of Public Works. The mosque is located next to the Ghazni-Herat highway and serves to provide prayer and rest facilities for travelers in the area.

The facility was constructed on three jeribs of land. It has the capacity to host 150 worshippers. Separate amenities have been provided for men and women. These include ablution facilities, organized toilets, and rest areas.

Mufti Mohammad Naseem Mohammadi, who heads the department for the protection of sanctuaries and mosque affairs at the Ministry of Public Works, shared these details. He stated that the construction of 13 additional mosques along the Kabul-Herat highway is currently underway. These mosques are scheduled to be inaugurated soon.

The completion of this mosque adds to the infrastructure available for public use along major highways in the region. Travelers passing through Ab Band district now have access to these new facilities for their religious and resting needs. The separate sections ensure that both male and female worshippers can use the mosque comfortably. Officials from the ministry oversaw the project from start to finish. The handover for use marks the end of the construction phase for this particular mosque.
