
Munir Ahmad Team Wins Kyurugi, Hossein Wahdat Takes Pumsae at Kabul Ramadan Taekwondo Cup
KABUL (Afghan Verified) — The 14th Ramadan Taekwondo Cup competitions took place in Kabul, featuring Kyurugi (sparring) and Pumsae (forms) sections.
The Afghanistan Taekwondo Federation announced the results, with the Munir Ahmad team claiming first place in Kyurugi with 7 points. Hedayatullah Nazari placed second with 3 points, Sadat third with 2 points, and Shir Mohammad Refah fourth with 1 point.
In Kyurugi, Romel Jalali of the Munir Ahmad team was named best coach. Shahzade, also from Munir Ahmad, was the top player with 21 points. The best referees were Hossein Wahdat, Ali Rahmani, Rahmatullah Alizadeh and Tamim Azami.
In Pumsae, the Hossein Wahdat team won first place with 10 points, followed by Munir Ahmad in second with 8 points, Shir Mohammad Refah third with 3 points, and Kabul fourth with 2 points.
Soroush Khodadadi of the Hossein Wahdat team was recognized as the best Pumsae coach. Ahmad Faisal Ahmadi from Munir Ahmad was the top player with 8 points. The best referees were Sayed Rostam Agha, Khaled Nawid and Na’im Wasimi.
The federation commended the athletes, coaches and referees for their participation. It described the event as a successful step toward developing youth taekwondo at the grassroots level.
