Natural Disaster Authority Reports Aid to Nearly 230,000 Families in Three Months
The Natural Disaster Preparedness and Response Authority has reported providing humanitarian assistance to 229,759 families across multiple provinces over the past three months. Authority spokesperson Qari Mohammad Yousuf Hammad confirmed that the distributed aid encompasses both essential supplies and direct financial support aimed at stabilizing vulnerable households.
According to Hammad, the assistance was divided between two primary categories. Approximately 109,000 families received food packages and non-food items, while 120,000 households were granted cash assistance. The combined monetary value of all distributed resources totals 483 million Afghanis. These figures reflect the scale of recent relief operations coordinated by national authorities.
Government officials highlighted a noticeable acceleration in the delivery of aid to displaced and unattended families throughout the country. The Natural Disaster Preparedness and Response Authority emphasized that the ongoing distribution efforts are designed to address immediate humanitarian needs and support communities facing economic strain. Provincial coordination remains a central component of the relief strategy, with authorities continuing to monitor distribution channels to ensure that resources reach the intended beneficiaries without delay. The authority’s statement underscores a broader governmental push to streamline humanitarian logistics and expand coverage in underserved regions. Hammad reiterated that the distribution framework prioritizes transparency and direct delivery to affected populations.
