The Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Returnees Affairs announced that 485 Afghan migrants detained in various Pakistani prisons over residency document issues were released this week.

The returnees include families and individuals. Four hundred seventy five of them entered Afghanistan through Torkham and the rest through Spin Boldak. Upon arrival they received assistance and were sent to their home areas.

The ministry requested continued cooperation from international organizations in supporting Afghan migrants and facilitating returns.
