A new school building has been constructed and inaugurated in the Khyber district of Faryab province. The project for the Nawabad Sayad school cost more than 13 million Afghanis.

The structure occupies one jerib of land. It consists of six classrooms, one administrative room, a laboratory that runs on solar power, a guard room and seven toilets. Other elements include a boundary wall of 174 meters, a well 60 meters deep, six solar panels, firefighting equipment, desks and chairs for 108 students, administrative furniture and a playground.

Maulvi Abdullah Rahmani, head of the education department in Faryab province, addressed the inauguration. He said that knowledge and education form the foundation for the progress of society. Rahmani urged teachers to emphasize religious education and healthy upbringing along with modern studies.

Local residents voiced their happiness about the construction. They called it an important step for promoting education and providing a suitable learning environment. Similar educational infrastructure projects are being implemented in various areas of Faryab province.
