Muina Shirazi has worked as a midwife in Nimroz province for more than 15 years. She resides in Zaranj and is the mother of five children. Shirazi married 29 years ago.

She began her healthcare career as a vaccinator two years after getting married. A difficult experience during childbirth in an Iranian hospital 27 years ago inspired her to train as a midwife. She received harsh treatment at the time and decided she would always treat mothers with compassion and never leave them alone.

Her family opposed her working outside the home and her pursuit of midwifery training. Despite this, Shirazi completed the training program. She decided to work in Nimroz, even though she received offers from larger provinces.

Shirazi has served in Khash district and currently works at a clinic in Siah-Chashman village. She has helped with thousands of deliveries, both normal and complicated ones. In her work, she focuses on providing respect, empathy, and emotional support to the mothers she assists.
