
One Child Killed, Houses and Farmland Damaged in Kapisa Floods
Recent heavy rains and floods in Kapisa province have caused the death of one child and significant financial losses to local residents through damage to homes, roads, gardens and agricultural land.
The events took place in the Najrab and Tagab districts.
In the Bradr Khilo area of Afgania Dre in Najrab district, one child was killed. Dozens of residential houses, roads and gardens were partially damaged in the flooding and dozens of jeribs of agricultural land were also destroyed.
In the market of Tagab district, the floods completely destroyed two houses and partially damaged dozens of other houses.
Molavi Mohammad Saber Ahmad, the head of Kapisa's Disaster Management and Preparedness Directorate, is the official who reported these details.
He told the news agency about the human and financial losses inflicted on the people due to the recent rains and floods.
Following instructions from the province's security commander Mulla Abdul Salam Husseini, security forces have been directed to provide assistance to the affected families and to manage the situation.
