Over 300 Afghan Refugee Detainees Freed from Pakistan
Over 300 Afghan nationals were released from Pakistani prisons this week and returned to Afghanistan via Torkham and Spin Boldak borders, with detentions attributed to lack of legal documents.

More than three hundred Afghan nationals detained in Pakistan have been released this week and have returned to Afghanistan. The Afghan refugee and repatriation ministry reported the release of three hundred seven people from Pakistani prisons.
These returnees came back through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings. Two hundred sixty-eight individuals entered through Torkham and thirty-nine through Spin Boldak.
Taliban officials have said that the detainees were imprisoned due to not having legal residency documents. This is happening as Pakistan continues a nationwide crackdown on undocumented Afghan refugees.
The United Nations has repeatedly urged Pakistan to stop the arrest and forced deportation of Afghan refugees. The UN has noted the humanitarian and security risks for the returnees.
Taliban authorities have called for accelerated repatriation of Afghans from Pakistan.

Reliability assessment
Single source provides direct on-record attribution from the refugee and repatriation ministry and Taliban officials with specific numbers, dates, and border locations; core event of releases and returns is concretely reported.
The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Khaama Press: "ongoing nationwide crackdown", "intensified deportation operations", "dire conditions" — these phrases frame Pakistan's actions negatively and emphasize hardship faced by returnees with emotional and advocacy undertones.
Independent web corroboration
An independent web search turned up no separate corroborating reports. Treat the account as single-sourced until more outlets pick it up.
