Overnight Strikes Hit Sharif University of Technology in Tehran
TEHRAN (Afghan Verified) — Sharif University of Technology in Tehran was struck in overnight attacks, Iranian state-linked media reported.
Buildings near the university campus sustained damage, and a nearby gas facility was hit, leading to temporary gas disruptions in the area. The heaviest damage occurred in Tehran's eastern, southern and western districts, including the vicinity of Sharif University.
The university marks the fourth major Iranian academic campus targeted in recent weeks amid intensifying U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian infrastructure, including civilian sites. Damage was also reported in other cities, including Karaj, Shiraz, Isfahan and Bushehr.
The attacks come as U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran of 'hell' if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened by Tuesday evening. Concerns are mounting over the impact of the escalating conflict on academic and civilian facilities.
