PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Afghan Verified) -- Pakistani police detained 341 undocumented Afghan migrants during an operation in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The detentions took place Sunday in the areas of Topi, Razar, Chota Lahore and the Swabi district center, according to reports.

Local officials stated the operations would continue until all undocumented residents return to Afghanistan peacefully and with dignity. They urged Afghan migrants to return voluntarily, giving them time to close their businesses after Eid al-Fitr.

Nearly 30,000 Afghan migrants currently reside in various parts of Swabi district, reports said.
