Public Health Minister Urges Graduates to Separate Trade from Medicine

A graduation ceremony for nearly 500 health sector specialists took place on Tuesday, 28 Dalu 1404 (February 17, 2026), organized by the General Directorate of Specialization Completion under the Ministry of Public Health.

Maulvi Noorjalal Jalali, the Public Health Minister, addressed the graduates, stating: "Separate trade from medicine." He stressed ethical conduct among doctors, adding: "The secret of our success is not to use the sacred science of medicine for commercial purposes."

Jalali noted that procurement for 100 out of 318 district-level hospitals has been completed, with construction set to begin soon. He urged doctors to serve citizens with commitment and sincerity, assuring that the ministry is committed to providing job opportunities for the new graduates.

Qari Abdul Wali Sadiqi, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration, told the graduates: "Just as you strive in personal matters, strive equally in national matters." He advised: "If you want to see your future successful, be committed to your profession, perform your responsibilities correctly, and serve the people with sincerity."

Maulvi Abdul Baqi Haqqani, head of the National Examinations Administration, said: "To prevent diseases, public awareness must be increased and emergency services expanded and strengthened." He added that efforts to provide facilities for health workers have accelerated.

Maulvi Hamdullah Naumani, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, remarked: "It is a place of gratitude that we have gathered in such a scientific and academic assembly, where scientific cadres are introduced to serve society." He urged the graduates: "Perform your responsibilities with sincerity, in the best way, and with commitment; treat patients kindly and give them patience and peace of mind."
