
Rainfall and Flash Floods Forecast for 20 Provinces on Friday
The Meteorology Department of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has forecast rainfall and possible flash floods in 20 provinces on Friday. The provinces that will receive the rainfall are Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Logar, Kabul, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Laghman, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Bamyan, Samangan, Badakhshan, Takhar and Sar-I-Pul.
Predicted rainfall levels range from 10 to 35 millimeters in the affected provinces. Wind speeds of 50 to 100 kilometers per hour are forecast across central, northern, eastern, southeastern and western regions. Snowfall is forecast in high-altitude and cold areas.
The forecast covers a broad area including the capital Kabul and many other provinces in different regions of Afghanistan. The Meteorology Department provides these details to highlight the expected weather for the coming day.
