The deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced that residential land plots were distributed to 5,843 returnee families across eight provinces during the past week.
The allocations included 2,343 plots in Nangarhar, 1,168 in Faryab, 1,149 in Helmand, 697 in Farah, 224 in Nimroz, 132 in Ghazni, 100 in Paktika and 30 in Samangan.
So far, a total of 42,614 plots have been allocated by the Commission for the Permanent Settlement of Returnees and Land Distribution, with the process continuing at a rapid pace.
