
Residents of Badghis donate over 11 jeribs of land for school construction
Residents of several districts in Badghis province have donated more than 11 jeribs of land to the provincial education directorate for building schools and madrasas.
The spokesperson for the governor's press office in Badghis told Bakhtar News Agency that locals from the districts of Qadis, Darah-e Bum, Tagab-e Alam, Jowand and some urban areas donated 11 jeribs and 775 square meters of land. The total value of the land is estimated at more than 3.5 million afghanis.
Schools and religious madrasas will be constructed on the donated plots in the mentioned districts, the spokesperson said.
The leadership of the local administration in Badghis described the donations as a sign of public attention and cooperation with provincial education efforts. They emphasized that work to expand educational infrastructure will continue in the new academic year.
