Russia's Defence Ministry claimed its air defence units shot down 148 Ukrainian drones across different parts of the country between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. local time on Sunday.
The ministry said most of the drones were intercepted over central and southern regions of Russia during the three-hour period, which corresponds to 1700-2000 GMT.
A drone strike in Belgorod killed a civil defence volunteer on Sunday evening.
In the Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk, debris from downed drones struck a high-rise apartment building. Mayor Andrei Kravchenko reported no immediate casualties from the incident.
Emergency crews are working to restore electricity to nearly half a million households affected by power outages linked to the attacks.
Andrei Chertkov, head of the Russia-installed administration in the Donetsk region, stated that power has been restored in Donetsk city and the nearby city of Makiivka following Ukrainian strikes on energy infrastructure.
