The Statistics and Information Department of Samangan Province has issued civil registration documents to 48,840 residents during the 1404 solar year, according to provincial officials. The initiative covered a wide range of administrative services, including both electronic and paper national identification cards, alongside vital records such as birth and death certificates.

Habib-ur-Rahman Waqas, head of the department, reported that the province distributed 29,037 electronic national IDs and 14,475 paper-based identification cards. The department also processed 458 birth certificates, 738 death certificates, and issued corrective identification documents to 4,132 individuals. Waqas confirmed that two electronic ID distribution centers remain operational across the province, providing new registrations, duplicate cards, and post-distribution support.

In addition to civil registration, the department carried out several statistical and economic monitoring activities throughout the year. Officials stated that field teams collected social and economic data using 538 standardized forms. The department also tracked monthly market prices for 307 essential goods, conducted food security assessments, and completed address mapping initiatives.

The provincial statistics office emphasized that these efforts aim to improve public access to official documentation and support data-driven planning for local development projects. All services were delivered through established provincial channels to ensure accurate record-keeping and streamline administrative processes for residents across the region.
