A solar-powered clean drinking water network has been completed and handed over in Ibrahim Khel village of Aq Tash district in Kunduz province.

The project, funded by the Dakar organization at a cost of 215,000 US dollars, serves 725 families and includes a solar system. Hamid Khan Momand, director of publications at the Kunduz Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, said residents previously faced shortages of clean water but now have easy access.

Momand added that the network is expected to resolve water problems and improve health conditions in the area. He noted that numerous water supply networks were built in Kunduz province center and districts during the past year.
