Taekwondo Selection Competitions Begin in Kabul
The 13th round of taekwondo selection competitions has started in Kabul with 100 athletes from 15 clubs competing over two days to select 32 athletes for the provincial team.

The 13th round of Taekwondo selection competitions has begun in Kabul. One hundred athletes from fifteen sports clubs of Kabul province are taking part in the event.
The competitions are organized by the Kabul Provincial Directorate of Physical Education and Sports in cooperation with the National Taekwondo Federation. They are being conducted over two days in the senior age category and cover eight weight categories.
Thirty-two of the top athletes will be selected for the Kabul province Taekwondo team. These athletes will prepare for future national events as part of the team.
Hafiz Ahmad Jan Zadrān, Technical and Professional Deputy of the General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports, emphasized the value of the competitions. He stated that holding selection competitions is important for sports development and talent identification.
The event serves as a key step in identifying promising athletes and building the strength of taekwondo in the province ahead of national competitions.
