
Taliban Agriculture Head in Nimruz Dies in Traffic Incident
Niaz Mohammad Wahaj, the head of agriculture, irrigation and livestock for the Taliban in Nimruz province, died in a traffic incident in Delaram district.
Huriyat media, affiliated with Taliban intelligence, reported the death of Wahaj, who oversaw agricultural affairs in the southwestern province.
The incident occurred in Delaram district of Nimruz province, according to the report.
The announcement comes amid a sharp rise in traffic accidents nationwide, with dozens of deaths reported in recent months.
In Badakhshan province, the Taliban Police Command recorded 122 traffic incidents over the past year, resulting in 136 deaths and 175 injuries, spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said.
