Sources told Hasht-e Subh that Taliban fighters detained two brothers from Parwan province at the Torkham border after their expulsion from Islamabad. The young men, named Tofan and Shiraz, had been waiting for UN processing of their refugee cases. The incident occurred after their deportation from Pakistan about 20 days prior to Thursday, 14 Hoot.
According to the sources, the Taliban informed the brothers that they must participate in jihad and separated them from their parents despite the family's efforts to intervene. The parents are reportedly under severe pressure and have no information on their sons' whereabouts.
The sources described this as an example of broader challenges facing Afghan refugees expelled from neighboring countries, including forced expulsions, security threats in Afghanistan, forced conscription, and lack of legal support.
The report comes amid ongoing clashes between Taliban and Pakistani forces along the border. Pakistani officials have claimed heavy casualties and damage inflicted on Taliban fighters. The International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Organization for Migration stated that military clashes in border areas, including Kunar and Nangarhar provinces, have displaced more than 66,000 people.

Reliability assessment
Single outlet citing unnamed sources who provided concrete details (names Tofan and Shiraz, Parwan province, Torkham border, timing), but lacks independent corroboration or named/on-record attribution.
The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. "Forced conscription" (sarbazgiri ejbari) in title frames action pejoratively; "under severe pressure" (taht-e feshar-e shadid) and "widespread problems" (moshkelat gostardeh) add emotional weight and imply systemic failure.
