Senior Taliban official Shahabuddin Delawar said the group has eliminated internal divisions and power centers across Afghanistan. This development has created unified obedience to the leadership for the first time in 48 years, he stated.

Delawar said the Taliban administration does not belong only to the mullahs. He rejected calls for an inclusive government and criticized past political factions. Those groups under the republic and Afghan-inclusive arrangements were not truly inclusive or democratic, with leadership passing from father to son, according to Delawar.

The official added that the Taliban have removed internal opposition and regional arbitrariness. All parties now follow orders from the Amir without question. He cited Atta Mohammad Noor as an example of this shift.

Delawar highlighted improved security in Panjshir province. He said 190,000 tourists traveled there last year, an area previously considered a no-go zone.

Delawar attributed the absence of international recognition to the heavy defeat suffered by United States officials. He urged exiled politicians to return to Afghanistan but noted that their return is not necessary for the Taliban to continue their work.

Reliability assessment

Single source provides direct, on-record attribution to named senior Taliban official Shahabuddin Delawar (head of Contact Commission) with specific claims and context; verifiable fact is that the statements were made.

The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Afghanistan International: "heavy defeat that they cannot forget" frames the West's position as humiliating failure; "eliminated this 'arbitrariness'" and "everyone obeys without question" present Taliban centralization as an unqualified positive while downplaying authoritarian control; the rhetorical questions mocking past factions' democracy and inclusivity serve as advocacy for the current system.
