Trump Issues 48-Hour Ultimatum to Iran Amid Intensifying U.S.-Israeli Strikes
President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran on Truth Social, demanding a deal or the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, or face "all Hell." The warning came as U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran intensified early Sunday, April 5, 2026, amid an ongoing conflict and a search for a missing U.S. pilot.
Strikes targeted locations in Ardabil province, specifically Germi and Jafarabad counties, killing at least three people and wounding three others. In Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, attacks in the Kouh Siah area killed at least four and wounded two, focusing on a suspected hideout for the missing pilot.
The U.S. believes a second pilot from a downed fighter jet is hiding in the area, with helicopters conducting search-and-rescue patrols. One pilot was rescued by U.S. forces the previous day. A missile strike also hit a communications and state broadcasting tower in the region.
Iranian forces and Revolutionary Guards are searching for the missing pilot and have announced a reward for information leading to his capture.
