U.S. President Donald Trump led a memorial service at Washington National Cathedral for the late Senator Lindsey Graham, who died last week at the age of 71 after more than three decades in the U.S. Senate. Trump described Graham as a loyal friend, a respected brother, and a great statesman who shaped American foreign and national security policy.

The event drew Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, members of Congress, diplomats and other dignitaries. Graham served on the Senate Armed Services Committee and Senate Judiciary Committee and was a leading Republican voice on defense and foreign policy.

Trump honored Graham in his eulogy as a true American original. Graham's body is to be laid to rest in South Carolina.
