Trump Threatens to Destroy Iranian Power Plants and Bridges if Agreement Rejected
US President Donald Trump has issued warnings to Iran in a series of statements posted on his Truth Social platform regarding the second round of talks between the two sides and what might happen if they fail to reach an agreement.
Trump said that American representatives will travel to Islamabad on Monday for the second round of talks with Iran. He described the proposed agreement as very fair and reasonable and expressed hope that Iran will accept it.
The US president warned that if Iran rejects the proposal, the United States will target all power plants and all bridges in Iran.
Trump accused Iran of violating a ceasefire by firing at a French ship and a British cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
He claimed that Iran suffers about five hundred million dollars in daily losses due to the restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz, while the US incurs no losses.
Trump said that Iran will back down quickly. He added that taking tough measures would be a source of pride for him and declared that it is time to stop the Islamic Republic's killing machine.
The comments were made ahead of the planned meeting in the Pakistani capital.
