Turkey's Intelligence Chief Warns Israel-US-Iran War Risks Global Crisis
ISTANBUL (Afghan Verified) -- Ibrahim Kalin, Turkey's intelligence chief, warned Saturday at a gathering in Istanbul that the ongoing war involving Iran, Israel and the United States risks expanding into a global crisis.
Kalin stated the conflict could evolve into a war for which "eight billion people" may pay the price, while also deepening regional fractures. He spoke as the war entered its second month, marked by missile and drone attacks, maritime threats and military deployments.
Turkey has undertaken extensive diplomatic efforts to prevent the war from spreading further, Kalin said. He noted that Turkey, alongside Pakistan and China, has pushed for negotiations to avert broader instability.
Kalin emphasized the need for talks amid heightened tensions, underscoring Turkey's role in seeking de-escalation through diplomacy.
