
Two Afghan Nationals Killed, 18 Injured in Balochistan Traffic Accident
The traffic accident in the Balochistan province of Pakistan that occurred on Thursday night has resulted in the deaths of two Afghan nationals. In the same accident a total of three people were killed while eighteen other people sustained injuries.
The three speeding vehicles that were involved in the incident collided with one another on a road that is linked to the Reko Diq project. The accident happened as the vehicles were moving on this particular road in the province.
The two Afghan nationals who were killed were part of a larger group that was attempting to carry out an illegal crossing to Iran. The eighteen injured people included Afghan women and children who were also part of the attempt to migrate illegally.
Five among the group of injured people are in a critical condition following the accident. As a result of their critical condition these five have been transferred to a hospital in the city of Quetta so that they can be provided with the necessary medical intervention.
The police have started the process of investigating the accident. This investigation by the police is continuing at the present time in order to determine all the factors that contributed to the collision between the three speeding vehicles on the road linked to the Reko Diq project.
