Two Bangladeshi nationals killed in Iranian airstrike on Saudi Arabia's Al-Kharj
Two Bangladeshi nationals were killed and several others wounded after an Iranian airstrike targeted the Saudi city of Al-Kharj, Saudi Civil Defense authorities said.
The officials stated that the two people killed in the strike were Bangladeshi citizens working in the area. A report by the Associated Press on Monday indicated that at least 11 other people were injured in the attack, adding that the wounded were also Bangladeshi nationals.
The strike occurred amid rising regional tensions and ongoing military exchanges involving Iran. Iran has carried out strikes on locations in Saudi Arabia, while Riyadh has warned it could respond if the attacks intensify.
Regional tensions have escalated in recent days due to exchanges of strikes between Iran and its rivals, raising concerns about broader instability in the Middle East. Saudi authorities have previously warned that direct attacks on the kingdom's territory would prompt a response to defend its security and critical infrastructure.
