Two people died after a Mazda cargo vehicle overturned into a river in Badakhshan province.
The incident took place on Tuesday, 26 Jawza, in the Bakhir Ab area of Koh-e Aab district. Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesman for the Taliban security command in Badakhshan, confirmed that the vehicle deviated from the road and fell into the river.
The bodies of the two victims have not been recovered, and recovery efforts are ongoing. Poor road conditions in the district have delayed the rescue and recovery operations.
