UNDP Commits to Expanding Environmental Cooperation with Afghanistan

Maulvi Mutie-ul-Haq Khalis, Head of the National Environmental Protection Agency, met with representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to address key environmental issues facing Afghanistan. The discussions during the meeting revolved around the overall environmental situation in the country, the status of implementation for two environmental projects that are underway, and the GEF-9 meeting.

During his remarks, Khalis expressed gratitude for the activities that the UNDP has been undertaking in the field of environmental protection.
