A friendly volleyball tournament featuring 40 teams from six Afghan provinces has started in the Momin Khel area of central Gardez, Paktia province. The participating provinces are Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Logar, Kabul, and Maidan Wardak.

The tournament is organized by the Volleyball Federation under the Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports of Paktia province. Matches are scheduled to take place over about 25 days.

The opening match was won by the Ibrahim Khel team against Niazi Zalmi by a score of 3-0. The purpose of the tournament is to strengthen youth sports ties, promote sports, identify talent, and provide healthy recreation.

The competition is taking place in Gardez and brings together teams from the six provinces for a series of matches. Organizers have stated that the event focuses on youth participation and offers opportunities for athletes to engage in organized sports activities.
