WHO Regional Director Reports 3,300 Killed, 4.3 Million Displaced in Early Weeks of US-Israel War on Iran

Hanan Balkhi, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, stated that in the first weeks of the US and Israel war against Iran, at least 3,300 people were killed, more than 4.3 million were displaced, over 30,000 were injured, and 116 attacks on medical centers were confirmed.

Balkhi described the conflict as one of the very extensive crises in recent decades, leading to a large number of civilian deaths.

The conflict persists, with Iranian officials claiming responsibility for shooting down two US fighter jets.

Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, stated that Iran's nuclear facilities in Bushehr have been bombed for the fourth time.

Iranian officials have also asked citizens to take to the streets for celebrations amid the ongoing US-Iran war.
