Economic Commission Approves 37 Domestic Standards and 12 Testing Methods

The Economic Commission approved 37 domestic standards and 12 testing methods in a regular meeting chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Economic Deputy of the Prime Minister's Office.

The standards and testing methods cover agricultural products, foodstuffs, spices, construction materials, telecommunications and electrical equipment, chemical materials, plastics, medical equipment and other sectors. They were designed and finalized by the General Directorate of Standards and Quality based on current national needs and global standards.

The General Directorate of Standards and Quality said it will continue developing these standards to protect public health, promote healthy trade and support economic growth.
