KABUL — The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the delivery of 530 tons of humanitarian aid valued at approximately $500,000 to Gaza.
The shipment, which includes food, clothing and other essential items, is intended to assist 22,000 families, the ministry said in a statement.
The aid was procured by an Afghan delegation in Egypt and transported via the Rafah port, according to Ariana News and Pajhwok Afghan News. It was dispatched on the directive of Prime Minister Mullah Hassan Akhund, those outlets reported.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the conflicting parties to pursue a meaningful and sustainable ceasefire.
