120 Greenhouses Activated in Ghor Province

Provincial officials in Ghor have confirmed that 120 greenhouses have been constructed and are now operating to enhance vegetable production and market access. Zia-ul-Haq Joya, press officer for the Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in Ghor, provided details on the initiative. These greenhouses, both small and large in scale, are distributed throughout the province.

They produce cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, pumpkins, and various other vegetables. The facilities collectively supply hundreds of kilograms of fresh produce to local markets on a daily basis. The development has also generated employment for hundreds of individuals in the area.

Farmers in Ghor have expressed appreciation for the support from the Directorate. They have observed positive effects on their household economies as well as on overall agricultural yields. Construction of greenhouses has increased in Ghor province over the past several years.

The currently active greenhouses are contributing to sustained agricultural activity by ensuring regular vegetable supplies. Officials continue to monitor the progress of these projects to assess their ongoing benefits for the local population.
