Sanaz Hakimi, an Afghan visual artist and sculptor, is participating in Sweden's OpenArt biennial with three of her artworks. The biennial is taking place in the city of Örebro and is regarded as one of the most important events for public and contemporary art in the country.

One of the works on display is titled Soul of the Mountain. This piece draws inspiration from the mountains in Bamiyan province along with the historical and artistic heritage of the region.

A second artwork is called I Will Rise and Grow Again. It is dedicated to Afghan women and girls. The themes explored in this work include hope, freedom, and the vision for a better future.

The third sculpture is known as The Memory Pot. It is influenced by historical objects from Bamiyan and focuses on ideas of memory, culture, and the relationship between the past and the present.

Through her art, Hakimi links traditional elements with contemporary practices. Her creations represent aspects of culture, identity, memory, and the voices of women. The OpenArt biennial began on the thirteenth of June and continues until the sixth of December.
