Afghanistan Appoints Representative to Newly Forming World Futsal Trade Federation
The World Futsal Trade Federation is being established to organize futsal competitions among companies and trade institutions at both national and international levels.
National-level tournaments will feature company teams, with champions qualifying for international events. The first international futsal trade tournament is scheduled for December 2026 in Serbia.
Afghanistan will field a representative team selected through a domestic qualification process involving companies across the country. This participation highlights a new connection between sports and the economy, promoting corporate engagement in athletic competitions.
Mohammad Nasir Sadaqat has been appointed as the federation's representative for Asian countries. He has also joined the organization's international relations group.
The initiative aims to foster company-based futsal leagues domestically, allowing top performers to compete globally. Afghanistan's involvement positions the country within this emerging international framework, with national selections set to determine its entrant for the Serbia event.
