The Ministry of Public Works reported that 183,187 metric tons of goods were transported via its railway lines over the past week.

Breakdowns by border points included 121,087 tons through Hairatan port, 15,590 tons via Aqina, 21,350 tons at Torghundi and 25,160 tons on the Khaf-Herat line. These transfers encompassed petroleum products, non-petroleum goods and other materials for import and export.

Exports totaled 390 tons of commercial goods, with a significant portion consisting of pomegranate juice, according to the ministry.

Ministry officials stated that increased rail transfers and exports create more job opportunities, boost national revenues and pave the way for economic stability, progress and self-sufficiency.

The ministry is working to provide better conditions and facilities for domestic and foreign traders, aiming to make commercial goods transfers via railways more sustainable and efficient to further increase national revenues.
