KABUL — Afghanistan's Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has allocated about 72,000 jeribs of land to investors as part of its commitment to expanding opportunities in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
Shir Mohammad Khattami, spokesperson for the ministry, stated that technical cooperation, land distribution and leasing arrangements have been made to support domestic and foreign investors. He highlighted vast untapped capacities in agriculture, livestock, horticulture, irrigation, product packaging, storage, transportation and cold storage that are open to private sector investment.
