KABUL (Afghan Verified) — Ariana Television will produce and broadcast the second season of the Ariana Snooker Championship over two weeks, from 21 Thor to 1 Jowza 1405. The tournament will air daily from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. from the network's large studio in Kabul.

Around 60 players from across Afghanistan, including teenagers, youth and experienced competitors, are expected to participate. The competition will feature group stages, knockout rounds, semi-finals and a final, played in a fast 6-ball snooker format.

The first season was won by 32-year-old Nawid Naderi, who defeated President Khan Hotak 7-6 in the final. That event drew 16 top players, many of them teenagers.

Wahidullah Asghari, president of the National Snooker Federation, praised the players' performances during the inaugural season.
