Customs officials in Nimroz province have foiled an attempt to smuggle more than one ton of medicines from Pakistan.
The seizure took place in the Dak area of Chahar Burjak district, where two vehicles carrying one ton and 700 kilograms of medicines were intercepted.
Mawlawi Abdul Ghaffar Mahmood, head of Nimroz subsidiary customs, confirmed the details of the operation.
No arrests have been made so far. Authorities pledged to intensify anti-smuggling efforts to protect public health and the economy.
