The Baghlan Central District team won the Buzkashi championship in Baghlan province by securing the most points.
The competitions took place at the Maslahat Tapa field in Baghlan Central District. Teams from Pul-e Khumri, the center of Baghlan, and the districts of Dand Ghori, Dahana Ghori and Baghlan Central participated in the event.
Haji Guldin, head of the Baghlan Buzkashi Federation, said the Baghlan Central District team achieved first place. The Dahana Ghori team placed second and the Dand Ghori team finished third. All three teams received cash prizes.
Guldin added that players Azizullah, Qayyum, Asad, Ahmad Sarpli and Syed Awad Shirpur stood out among the competitors. The five pahlawans drew attention for their strong performances and were awarded special recognition.
The federation head stated that the goal of organizing the competitions was to promote traditional sports, strengthen the spirit of solidarity and create opportunities for healthy competition among athletes.
