The Baghlan team secured first place in the Pahlavani (Kurash) competitions that were recently held in Baghlan province. This victory was achieved in an event that saw participation from several other provinces in the northern part of the country.

The competitions featured a total of 73 pahlavans who represented their respective provinces in the traditional wrestling matches. The participating provinces included Baghlan, Kunduz, and Samangan.

In the final team rankings, the Baghlan team came out on top with the first position. The team from Kunduz was able to secure the second position in the overall results. The team from Samangan finished the competition in the third position.

Syed Hashmatullah Sadat, the person responsible for the Baghlan Kurash Federation, provided information regarding the organization of this event. Sadat indicated that the competitions were arranged in cooperation with the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports in the province.

Sadat further stated that the main purpose behind holding these competitions was the growth and promotion of the traditional Pahlavani sport.

Following the conclusion of the competitions, the winners were presented with cash prizes for their achievements. The top performers also received additional gifts as part of the recognition for the event.
