Cash Assistance Distributed to 5,588 Families in Kamdesh District of Nuristan

Cash assistance has been distributed to 5,588 needy families in Kamdesh district of Nuristan province. The funding for this initiative came from the World Food Programme, with each family receiving cash equivalent to 490 US dollars in Afghanis.

This support is intended to strengthen small agricultural businesses, create income opportunities and improve the economic situation of the families.

Maulvi Mohammad Wali Mohsen, head of the Nuristan Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, stated the purpose of the assistance. He noted that it aims to improve the economic situation of deserving families, create home-based job opportunities and strengthen small agricultural businesses. The assistance will help families create sustainable sources of income through agriculture and related activities.
