A chromite stone processing factory has been inaugurated in the industrial town of Mohammad Agha district in Logar province. The Metal Mining company established the facility with an investment of one million US dollars.
The factory has the capacity to process around 500 tons of chromite stones per day and is equipped with advanced machinery. Provincial administration officials, representatives of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, and company officials participated in the inauguration ceremony.
Logar Deputy Governor Sheikh Inamullah Salahuddin highlighted investment opportunities in the mining sector and called for job creation for local residents. The province is rich in chromite, with extraction underway in five other mines.
Officials noted that the factory will contribute to economic growth, as unprocessed chromite sells for about 200 dollars per ton on the global market.
