Coal Extraction at Shabashk Mine Increases by 50 Percent

Coal extraction at the Shabashk mine in Samangan province has increased by 50 percent compared to last year. Daily output now stands at 300 tons, up from 200 tons per day during the same period previously.

Mawlawi Abdullah Hamid, head of the Northern Coal Emirate Company, attributed the growth to improvements in the extraction process, higher production capacity, and technical efforts by the company.

The extracted coal plays an important role in meeting Afghanistan's energy needs and strengthening economic growth through domestic market supply. Coal is one of Afghanistan's important natural resources and employs a large number of people.

The Northern Coal Emirate Company oversees operations at the mine. Officials have noted that these developments reflect ongoing work to enhance output levels in line with available resources and technical measures.
